Meet the Team
Tom Wegner
The dramatic turn of events in Wegner’s life occurred after his father was diagnosed with cancer and needed medical cannabis treatment but encountered bureaucratic difficulties that prevented him from obtaining the much-needed treatment. In an attempt to help his father, Tom met extraordinary people, whom he calls ״the underground of angels”, who dedicate their lives to helping critically ill patients in need of cannabis, under threat of imprisonment and institutional harassment.
In 2019, Wegner began posting a series of interviews with medical cannabis therapists and patients on social media, which shocked many opinion leaders in Israel and revealed an acute human rights crisis, which took place away from the public’s eye. Wegner’s first book, Cannabis Wars, incorporates some of this important evidence into a staggering document.
Wegner is also known as an Internet entrepreneur and activist, one of the founders of the Israeli Space Association and of the Trees Fund.

Natanel Yermiyahu
Professional Hebrew-English translator, Beit-Berl graduate.
Cannabis was the first drug that actually helped him managing physical pain related to muscle spasms. The added and unexpected bonus of cannabis use was greatly improving his quality of life while being enjoyable to consume.
After reading the Hebrew edition of the book, the need to help spread the personal stories of the book in a more significant manner was clear! when the sudden opportunity to edit the English edition of “Cannabis Wars” presented itself, everything felt as natural as mixing CBD with THC.
Natanel also produces (mostly) chill ambient music. he insists that all of his tracks would sound much better while vaping some Indica flowers.

Shelley Gruber Shamir
Artist, activist, cannabis patient. My ways croosed with Tom’s book on Facebook, in a MC patients group. Tom asked whether anyone would be willing to review the translation of the first chapter of ‘Cannabis wars’. I gladly responded for this combined my love of words and my hope for cannabis to be accepted as a first line treatment. With years of experience with english Hebrew translations, I continued with Tom’s book translation editing, chapter by chapter. In every one, another engel revealed, another heart expending story, a glimps into to the trials and tribulations MC patients go through, just as I did.
Thank you Tom for this journey.
